If a decision depends on what a criminal record says - a court date, a warrant status, a custody status, a registry listing - get the answer from the agency that holds the record: the sheriff, the criminal courts, the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification and Information, or the Louisiana State Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry. An official or certified copy has to come from the issuing agency.
